Winner of the Speed MI Up prize in the Sodalitas Challenge, Ar-T Box has a completely new, original approach to works of art. The idea is to invite the user into a cubic structure set up in a public place (such as a piazza), where they immediately come face-to-face with a reproduction of the work. A voice or textual elements projected onto the wall will provide an explanation of the work and explain its historical - artistic context. From this one-directional view of the artistic item, the spectator moves on to an all-round, multi-sensory viewing. The scene 'expands' over all the walls of the cube, taking over the surfaces around the spectator, as well as above and below them. Meanwhile, sounds, music and other sensory stimulators connected with the work of art, will involve the spectator to the point of turning them into spect-actors. They will no longer simply have a passive viewing, but a shared, exciting experience that will result in them no longer feeling as if they are in front of the painting, but inside it.
