As the headquarters in via Cilea are set up, the space in via Gobbi shall especially be used as StartBugs and as a work space to host the startups during the first three months of the incubation period in order to maximize the possibility of contact and support by the Bocconi Faculty.

Virtual: Cooperative Social Networking

Physical spaces are costly and not always that necessary for current businesses where almost all aspects have become digital and where the greatest majority of communications occur via computer. Currently perhaps 80% of work is done alone in front of a PC and many organization notifications have shifted from voice communication to phone to emails to finally end up with instant messaging. This trend seems to be amplified by the use of modern social networks where emails and chat have been surpassed by the typical streaming of Facebook, concept still almost entirely missing in current work modalities:

  • posting similar to Facebook
  • chat
  • conference call;videoconferencing
  • virtual meeting
  • sharing documents in real time (desktop sharing and whiteboarding)
  • create closed interactive work groups within each single start-up

Science Labs

Participants will be able to use science labs made available by Innovhub – Experimental Stations and Filarete Foundation. The frameworks shall basically represent these sectors:

  • biotechnologies
  • papermaking industry and processing plants
