Social Media Art will be a marketplace with an e-commerce service, generated with the aim of bringing art into homes all over the world. Its mission will be to give artists the possibility of moving ahead in today’s complex world, enabling them to sell their artworks simply by uploading photos. At the same time, it will allow art lovers to buy works by young, emerging artists located in other parts of the world, with a simple click. Still, Social Media Art won’t just be the broker between artists and buyers. Actually it also follow and advance the career of artists and will simplify the lives of buyers by handling all shipping procedures, and also guaranteeing the authenticity and uniqueness of the artworks themselves.
The name itself embodies the essence of the company, not just a marketplace that can reach anyone, anywhere in the world, but also to spread the word about different artistic currents that originate in the furthest corners of the earth. Social Media Art will also make it possible to directly contact artists in order to find out more about the essence of their artworks, in this way creating a real community of artists and art buffs.
The marketplace will be constructed down to the last detail with the goal not of commercializing art but rather of elevating it. An artistic committee supported by Galleria Longari, one of Milan’s long-standing galleries, established by the first female antiquarian in Milan, will value each single artwork before it can be published.
The team is composed of: Lorenzo Abrigo (26) chemical engineer, sales manager of an international enterprise operating in the food industry, a natural in weaving commercial links. Luca Orlando (26), chemical engineer, production engineer and quality manager for a Swiss biomedical enterprise, working with two successful start-uppers from whom he learnt lots of important tricks of the trade. Jacopo Landi (26), writer and artist, whose poetic vein has charmed us for years with his blog that has attracted more than 10000 followers. Daniele Longo (26 ), quality and animal health director at one of the leading meat distributors in Italy, whose dedicated approach to work combined with his well-known pragmatism are the real backbone of Social Media Art. Carola Abrigo (23), economics and management student, the youngest member of the team – bubbly, stubborn and with a unique global vision.
In a world where the use of Social Networks reigns supreme, Social Media Art will revolutionize the art marketplace, letting everyone explore their inner artist and show it to the world!
